Technological progress...
Working in car maintenance, Mohammad Annan's path to success is
his drive to work with technologically advanced equipment. Mohammad started in this field in 1985 as a car
repairman in a small shop in the area of Bourj Al Barajneh, suburban Beirut. Wanting to expand, he
faced lack of funding, so he turned to Ameen and first borrowed $800 in 2001. With this loan he invested in
electronic equipment such as a computer. He then subscribed to five other Ameen loans, reaching up to $2,000, and
has enlarged his small shop by annexing the store besides it. His monthly revenue, now at $700, is double what it
used to be. Thanks to his improved conditions, Mohammad is sending his children to better schools and was able to
pay for his daughter's wedding expenses. He now wishes to buy even more advanced machinery and propose more
services to cater to his clients' needs. |
